Essentials Bags for Youth Experiencing Foster Care

The Oregon Child Welfare System has an average daily population of 8,600 children in foster care. Many of these children enter into foster care with nothing other than the clothing they are wearing. By donating comfort bags filled with essential items such as toiletries and new clothes, you can support a child during their challenging transition to new homes.

Every person who receives a care bag from Project 48 receives high quality new items that can ease them into a new home. Each bag is custom ordered to ensure all items fit perfectly and that they are inclusive to each youth. This includes options for ethnic hair care products, LGBTQ sensitive ordering options as well as sizing for all body types and shapes.
